Hey everyone sorry i took so long to post these I’ve been really busy. But anyways here they are my pictures from the picnic we had here in Phoenix on Saturday 11-7-09. I had a great time with everyone and want to say thanks again for coming it was nice to meet you all and Me and Lily had a wonderful time.

Here are the pictures I got…

Everyone together, From left to right: Back Row, ROY53, sawdustBill, JOHNNYMO, SEER, woodyjim, Gene Howe (and Lily My mini-me lol) Front Row, Cranc, Me… Scrappys_Squirt, Scrappy, fRANKIEB21

Gene explaining some project to Roy and his Wife. I see this picture and I can just hear him saying “and I cut it this big” lol I have no Idea what the conversation was but thats what comes to mind.

everyone sitting around chatting and eating

woodyjim’s beautiful replica antique clocks, microscopes and a grain scale?? I think…

Dads (scrappy) stuff he brought, and my 2 boxes, and my first turning a walnut mushroom (still need to post that) along with Seer’s pens and clairo walnut cup, all very beautiful.

A chicken coop Roy made for his granddaughter.

This was probably the best of all I think. Its a plane that Roy made when he was 4 years old.

Lily eating, she’s always eating, she’s a bottomless pit with hollow legs but I love her anyways.

And finally the cake I made to look like my ash box.

There are more pictures that Scrappy posted of the event here… http://lumberjocks.com/scrappy/blog/11777#comment-491906

I had a blast we should do it more often. it was really good to get to know you all and have faces to go with the names.

Love the Box cake, Squirt.
Roy’s plane was awesome as were his saddle stools.
Scrappy’s turnings were neat, too. Especially liked his Snowman container(s). And Seer’s pens were outstanding.
There was a fella there who did some scroll work trivets in Corian. They were very interesting.

I didn’t bring anything. I don’t really make stuff, just hunt for these picnics for the free food!

I wish I could have stopped in. My wife and I had a flight out of Phoenix at 11. Sedona was beautiful.
