Topic tags/keywords: bandsaw resource question

OK…I bought this band saw on CL and thought I could find some information on the web but I have had no luck what so ever!! I was hoping maybe someone had an idea on spare parts, ummm…maybe even a manual? I have exhausted all of my resources so now I turn to the “Lumber Jocks” Please help. Thanks much…Dan

I haven’t made any phone calls yet…That was my next step though, thier web site says they only deal in dust collectors and lathes.

Well the story goes like this…After doing everything in my power to find information on this band-saw, I finally called Penn State and they didn’t know at all what I was talking about. I finally got a hold of a gentleman in the shop area, I guess, and proceeded to tell him my issue. He stated that the saw had been discontinued and they no longer make spare parts. He told me he would check around in some old boxes and see if there was something. Well I am still waiting for a call but it doesn’t look like I am gonna get what I need just yet. I will continue to scrounge around to find some information on this saw….The battles just begun!! Wish me luck…LOL
Good news is I picked up a brand new RBI Hawk 220 on CL for $200.00 Never been used. BUT….No Manual. Pfffft I have all the fun!!

Is the basic style of the bandsaw similar to the others on the market? Does it look like a Delta, Jet, Grizzly, etc? If so, many of the Delta replacement parts will most likely interchange. Most of the bandsaws built today are built in the same factory, with the same metals, design and then painted or badged as a particular manufacturer.
