Has anyone built their workshop cabinet doors with clear panels so you can see at a glance what’s in the cabinet? Some kind of clear acrylic or something? Just wondering. It seems like a good idea to me. Thoughts?

Why yes, I did that this summer and totally love them. I used my raised panel door set and ripped 2×4’s to a little over an inch. I used plexi glass for the window panels. It’s great to see what I want form across the room, go right to it without opening every cabinet door. I pretty sure the cost difference between plexi and glass is minimal. I went with plexi for safety reasons. It won’t shatter if ever broken. If your thinking about it, I really recommend you go for it.

Plexi scratches much easier than glass and dust seems attracted to plexi. Safety/tempered glass is much less apt to shatter.
