Got a call from a friend yesterday. He was wanting to come over to show me his garage sale finds. Said he found a couple Stanley planes. He got to the sale about 20 minutes early but the woman told him to come on in. He eventually found 2 dusty old planes. He asked what she wanted for them and she said she thought $10.00 was a fair price. He didn’t hesitate, he paid and left.

When I got my hands on them and headed for the compressor, I knew he got a good deal! When I blew the dust off, I was holding a Sweetheart #2 and a #5 1/4. Both are in great shape, just need a little cleaning and a tune up. I’ll post some before and after pics soon. (still working all the bugs out after the windows 10 disaster). Not bad for five bucks apiece!!!

Not only sweethearts. But a #2 and 5-1/4 to boot. Lucky.
