Just a little note regarding something that I am sure gives great joy to all LJs. “FREE WOOD” awhile back a Jacaranda Tree came down in a Storm just down the road from my house. Well!!!! I was down there quicker than you could say JACARANDA!!!! I got a few strange looks from folk walking by as they glanced at this guy feverishly sawing away and hauling the logs home. But as an L J, What can I say but “Happy Days” Free wood is wonderful!!!!
If you have a look on my profile you will see a picture of the fallen tree.

Kind regards to all my L J Friends.

Cliff.

Hello Rob,
Nice to hear from you. I think I am well and truly Logged Out as there have been a few trees and branches down over the last couple of years and I have pounced on them and my Timber Rack is about full. But thank you for offering. Rob, those tables look nice, are you going to restore them?
Regards,

Cliff.

That sounds like a great score Cliff. The only thing better than free wood is more free wood. Nice size tree. Hope you have a lot of it.

Dave, Yes free wood is great. The Guys from the Council that came to clear another tree that fell, actually cut it up for me and helped me carry it right round to my back yard….I shook their hands and couldn’t stop thanking them.
The tree in the picture I cut up myself and hauled it home. All that was left after I had finished with it was some twigs and leaves, Ha, ha.

Regards,

Cliff.

Jim, Absolutely!!!!!! Free Wood is Good Wood. Sometimes I see people with a professional tree lopper/remover at work and lovely logs are going into a grinder and saw dust is all that remains….it would make a grown man cry.

It hurts me to drive past free wood, but my woodshed is full. I know you will do something cool with it.
