Hi everyone.

I’m trying to price up a dining table like the one in the following imageIt nfor a client and for the life of me, I cant find a place where I can buy a large flitch cut slab or even a bookmatched set that will do the job.

Needs to be dry of course and I need to get it to my shop in Tarzana, CA in the valley.

Any ideas?

Mark

I was in Los Angeles one time and had some free time so I went to Arroyo Hardwoods and they’re not a large place with a large inventory, but they do work with a lot of people who gather reclaimed lumber and sawyers who mill urban trees.

They had some interesting pieces and might have what you’re looking for or if not, can point you in the right direction. There is a Rockler not far from there who have some pretty helpful people as well.

Try Austin Hardwood and Hardware In Santa Ana.They have some of the best slabs around including Claro Walunt. Peterman in Fontana has some walnut slabs but they aren’t that great and over priced.

I have an associate that e-mailed you on your website. He is located about 1 hour away from you and has a spectacular selection of the wide natural edged walnut slabs that you are looking for.
