Anyone own or have used either the DeWalt DC608K or Paslode's 901000?

I do not own a compressor (or wish to buy one) and would like to omit having to use my neighbor’s Porter Cable set up.

I’ve read the reviews of both on Amazon, but would feel a whole lot better if a fellow LumberJock could enlighten me further.

Cheers, Brad

I do own a paslode fuel powered nailer…two actually. It’s quite useful although a bit more expensive than I wish not to mention always having to buy the fuel canisters. Fuel cells last quite a while…about a box of nails each.
I also considered the dewalt battery powered nailers but my tool salesman said they were “not that great” so I passed.
Seems I read that Rigid had a battery powered nailer that was performing well but I have no personal experience with it.

I was leaning towards the Paslode before reading your post Mics. Your affirmation pushes me that much further. The one thing holding me back was reading the Paslode becoming finicky if not cleaned thoroughly between long uses. Long use for me would be no more than 50 – 100 shots per project. So, I guess, its really a non-issue.
