Topic tags/keywords: video wall shelf project wood shop safety miter saw shelf

Last year we had an school pep assembly which caused us to have a shortened class period. It was also right at the time we were starting the wall shelf project in the freshman class. So I got the idea to make a project video to show start to end in 20 min. They do it on TV right? Not as easy as it looks, especially trying to get it done in a couple of days and still have time to sleep.

Well this year, my partner and I planned ahead and put this together. Way better than last year.

The video total is about 32 min, each section is 8-9 min long. My son even gets in on the action and he is in kindergarten.

I watched the whole thing and it’s pretty neat (good). I would use a pencil instead of a Sharpie and sanding blocks to sand the smooth surfaces. 8-)
Truner was great you should be proud of him.

I asked my partner if we should mention that. We use sharpie so it shows up on camera. However we didn’t because during tool demos we use sharpie because we set up a camera zoomed in on the tool so the kids in the back can see up close. We always mention it then, so thought there was no need to mention it again.

Thanks for the kind words
