Once again I am impressed with Lee Valley.

I purchased 7 pairs of 18 inch full extension slides for the never ending bathroom renovation I am currently enduring and just today finally had a chance to start setting the drawer slides in…. and they were toooooo long. Apparently Jen’s idiot husband didn’t properly measure how big the cabinets were. Any way I ‘phone Lee Valley and not only is it okay to return the slides (purchased in July) but the helpful person helped me select the correct slides! I really like dealing with LV!

I like them too. I have had great luck with Lee Valley.

A fabulous bunch over several transactions at this stage for me. And very competitively priced too.

I ordered their new 1/4 in wide shoulder plane and SS marking gauge a few weeks ago via the website, and accidentally forgot to go for the combination deal they have going.

They were straight back to say they had re-entered the order and applied the deal…

I’ve meanwhile been trying to get an order for $3,000 worth of (albeit very well priced – otherwise i’d have gone elsewhere) Bessey clamps tied down with another well known supplier of woodworking gear for the past month and a half.

They are good guys judging by their own products, but for some reason it’s been like pulling hen’s teeth. After weeks of delays, silences, cryptic or grumpy replies to parts of e-mails and not to others we’re finally where they have ordered them. So two weeks more to shipping.

I have to say though that most businesses in the US in this field provide a fantastic level of service…..
