Wow! I’ve been on LJ’s for 6 years now. I’ve made friends from Puerto Rico to New Zealand. The morning coffee and lumberJocks email to see if my mentors and friends has become a daily ritual.

I’ve grown in my understanding of designing and building furniture being guided by suggestions on reading and then meeting folks I’ve read about in person!

I’ve not been doing my woodwork full time as I’m still half time in private practice, but time waits for no one. I’ve been encouraged, confronted and supported by my fellow lumber jocks.

At times I might not agree with your point of view but I will support it. Many people on here have become master builders in their own area. I learned here that a box is not a box

Six years ago Charles Neil suggested I check out LumberJocks. “Huh? whats that?” LOL!

Honest critiques are part of our growth as well as good advice.

Thanks for an enlightening 6 years!

Have you counted your days? I kept missing my anniversary dates, but today I counted.

Hey thanks! never retire, just expire? LOL! I decided a couple years ago as I got fewer and fewer clients, because insurance companies are using one stop shops, was going to be a woodworker in psychologist clothing rather than the other way around? Now I got to put me on the line.
