I have a change to buy both of these for $125 total.

They both are in pretty good shape and the planer comes with an extra set of knives.

Was wondering if this was an ok deal?

Thanks

I would say that is a great deal. I got the same disc sander for $80 and i thought i got a pretty good deal. I would hop all over that if i were you.

It wasn’t a look what I bought. I’m new to woodworking and was just making sure it was an ok deal.

The 1017 does not have a head lock which can be a royal PITA but if you always remember to check your adjustments when running a lot of BF. The 7297 is reviewed as having issues with the table locks and disc “squareness” runout. For $125 it could be a good deal as a starter set, but depending on what you plan to build, varying thicknesses and non square surfaces can drive you nuts.
