A friend recently asked me to refinish a dining room set for her. I wanted the experience in finishing so I agreed. After striping the chairs and table (about 18 hours of work. It was finish, over paint,, over finish, over stain), she decided to wait until next spring to color and finish. She has had some family health issues and was going to remodel her dining room and wants the dining set to match the floors. So my question is, how should she store this unfinished set so it doesn’t get damaged over the next several months? Is keeping it dry the only thing we should be concerned about?

I think you will be fine storing them dry,I would keep them in the dark so that UV Rays don’t lighten or darken them unevenly. When they are ready for finish I would lightly scuff sand. The wood will most likely starting to oxidize.
Sounds like it was a lot of work, good for you getting it done.
