Hi Guys,

I am looking for a countdown timer to use when charging my cordless tools batteries. I’ve looked for something like this at Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware without success.

What I want is a digital countdown timer that will countdown from 3 hours, in 30 minute intervals, and then shut off. I will hook it up to my battery charging station’s power strip, so I can place a battery in the charger, activate the timer, and then forget about it.

Anyone know where I can get such a timer??

I would go to an electric wholesaler and get a rotary timer switch. Very reliable, they come in 1 hr to 12 hour models. You’ll have to wire in in series with an outlet. Or you could get a light timer and set it for the lenght of time you want it to run. They usually just plug into an outlet, no wiring involved. Not exactly electronic count down, but will do the job.
