Since my table saw motor bit the dust I plan on buying a new one from grizzly. Figured Id ask to see if anyone has a 10% off coupon they don’t plan on using. Trying to decide on their hybrid or bite the bullet and get the cabinet saw. Insight on that would be beneficial as well.

I recently signed up on their emailing list and received a $25 off freight coupon. If you cant get a better deal on the machines, its at least something——

Everything I have heard, including comments from Grizzly tech support, convinced me to step up to the 1023RL over the 0715P, which seems to have incurable alignment problems.

I’ve got a $25 off coupon, of course saving $140 would be nice since it’s such a big purchase, for me that is haha. Thought about getting the 1023rlw with the router, figured it’d be cheaper to do that instead of building my own with the kreg insert which is like $60.

Also probably a dumb question, I have sleds built for my current saw, think there’s any chance of the slots and blade being the same where I don’t have to make new ones or just sell them with my saw.

Probably sell it with your saw. I did with mine. Gave me the chance to build new jigs that were better anyway

What I was thinking, of course, wonder if I be able to get much out of my saw with the dang motor messed up, we shall see.

It’s doubtful the sled would fit another saw, but ya never know. You don’t need a 3hp cabinet saw to do good work, but they sure are a pleasure to use, and are a significant step up for not a ton more money.

I think I’m going to bite the bullet and get the 1023rlw, seems like it’ll be all I ever need. Might sell my small cnc to help the burn of spending $1500 when I wasn’t really planning to anytime soon since I just bought an 8” jointer. Woodworking feels like I own a boat, always buying something for it, never seem to have every tool I want or need haha.

Just think that someday, maybe, 30 years down the line, you MIGHT have every tool that you need.

I highly doubt that. I know myself way too well. I will find a new thing I want to try that requires something cool and exotic.

I made the jump from a very good, and very heavy tricked out hybrid saw with a Biesemeyer fence to a Shop Fox 3hp cabinet saw in 2008. It was more than I need, but I’ve never regretted it for a second….it a pleasure to use, and I never worry about over using it. Good luck!

The G1023RLW is ordered, should have it next week, pretty excited.
