I came across a youtube vid about the short english style fence. Wherein the end of the fence is level with the front tooth gullet
. The guy doing the video was quite sold on the safety aspect of this set up. Any thoughts???

Saw a guy adjust his unifence the same way with great results.

PS: The “Delta” fence they mention is the Unifence

Mark, IIRC, Norm used the Unifence in a few episodes. FWIW

I have a Unifence and one of my favourite things about it is the ability to loosen two knobs and pull it back for multiple short crosscuts. It is so easy and safe.

It is absolutely, categorically, inarguably safer to cut with no fence past the blade of a table saw. It’s just not typical on American saws.
