Grizzly G0490 8" Jointer deal?

RogerHJR home | projects | blog 12 posts in 28 days 24 days ago	Topic tags/keywords: question I am looking for a 8” Jointer for my new shop. My budget has been getting stretched. I see that Grizzly has their 8” G0490 on sale right now for $850 with free shipping. I also see that their 8” Shelix cutter head is on sale for $325. From reviews that I have read this sounds like a pretty good combination. This from what I can see would give me a pretty good 8” jointer with shelix for $1,175. I wanted to see if anyone else had any other opinions for a good jointer for a limited budget. Thanks, Roger

cstrang home | projects | blog 1220 posts in 65 days 24 days ago	Helical head is the way to go, I think in the next few years they are going to be replacing the classic three knife cutter head all togther, from my expierence with them they are worth their weight in gold. -- A hammer dangling from a wall will bang and sound like work when the wind blows the right way.
