If you can post pictures directly from you own computer, hard drive, when you do a REVIEW why can’t you post the same way in a blog instead of going thru “PhotoBucket” which is a royal PITA?

because there are far more blogs than there are reviews, and that would mean a huge increase of hosting space required for lumberjocks.com (the site) which costs $$$. Since this is a free site for all, the resources are limited. from what I hear Martin might be changing that in the future, but for now – that’s the nature of the beast.

It’s just a question of storage space (which equals $). Martin has made the decision to store project and review photos on the LJ host server, but not blog or forum posts.

Thanks for posting the question John. I too wondered about this issue. Thanks to Purplev and Charlie we have a clear and concise answer.

It seems to be a reoccurring question but a good one

Now that I am used to photobucket it’s so simple that I don’t see much difference between photobucket and copy/paste to transfer my pictures.
