I’m getting ready to build my kitchen cabinets. I’m dead set on buying a prefinished UV cure 3/4 plywood. (I could never duplicate the durability of a UV cure in my shop.) I’m not set on maple or birch so I’d be open to suggestions. The outer portion of the cases will be painted a dark green.

I’ve been looking around at the local Menard’s. They stock a TigerPly product in birch for $45. After seeing and reading about it I know that I don’t want it. It’s imported from China. I’ve used TigerPly before and it was not fun.

However I also just realized Menard’s can special order a US made version of maple from Timber Products Company.

The Menards part is 125-1851. It’s a special order. $65 per sheet. On sale now for an additional 11% off. If you order a bunk of 20 sheets there is only a $6 handling fee. The spec sheet looks pretty good on the stuff. C2 grade face and #2 back, rotary cut, 1/36” veneer.

Has anyone out there used this product?

Not familiar with the product, but after building just one kitchen, for cab boxes I wouldn’t think it would make much diff.
