Anyone out there with experience changing speeds on GI 75-260 DP. I knew from reading reviews the belt changing pricess was quirky but everyone agreed, other than that, it was a good piece of equipment. I agree. Performance, fit and finish are good. Interestingly enough, fine woodworking made the same comment (belt changing feature, in their last reviews of standing DP’s. Bottom line. I followed the instructions and loosened screws, moved the idle arm to create slack by moving motor back, removed the current belt setup but can’t seem to get belt onto lower level on motor pulley, (idle pulley to motor pulley belt. What am I missing here? Are new belts in particular, difficult to move? Thx for any help.
