What is really scary is the number of people who fall for this trick. I am an IT Manager and have about 120 users to look after and I am sure at least 10% would think it is real or try it just to see what happens. These people are supposed to be educated people using their computers everyday for work related issues only. Many people don’t have an ounce of common sense when it comes to the internet.

Hey! I’m pretty interesting…. well… um…. guess not. Why does Vivian not write me! Well She looses not me. If she only knew, I’m pretty wealthy by now. I’ve won the euro millions lotto 3 times now. And wouldn’t you know it, some guy from Nigeria wants my help to move millions out of the country and as a nice guesture, he will give me a share of it.

I, too, am amazed by the people that respond to these phish. Almost as amazed as at the people who cash the check for $14,000 dollars sent for an $8,000 item and send back the difference.
