Topic tags/keywords: grinding grinders hand made tools question modern traditional

I have some 1/4” wide by 8”diameter grindng stones that I would like to use to make some spoon bits. I have the 01 drill rod and I was planning to grind out the spoon part. The grinding stones have a 1 1/4” diameter hole in them and I need a mounting flange so they can go on a 1/2” diameter drive shaft. Any ideas where I could find such parts so I can safely use them?

Thanks,
Jim

Hello Jim,

Here is a link where you can find any size reducer bushing for your grinding wheels. Scroll down on the page to find the bushing that you need.

Good luck, John

Hey John,
Really appreciate that information. Do you think I would require one or two of those reducer bushings per wheel?

Thanks,
Jim
