Earlier I stated that I will be purchasing a used drum sander from Craigslist. Well….good news, my wife said, just go buy a new one instead! So now I am on the lookout for best prices on a new 16-32. Anybody know of any sales or upcoming sales on a NEW Jet 16-32 ?? Thanks again

I have also been looking for used for more than 6 months, but around here they want almost as much for used as new and I gave up looking for used. The Jet 16/32 used hare was $800. I really didn’t think that was a good deal.

Jet usually has a 15% off sale 2 times a year, but I got tired of waiting and got the 19/38 Supermax on Sunday,
Took 3 hours to put together, and I can say it’s a real beast. I haven’t finished setting it up, so I can’t speak for how well it works. All I can say is L haven’t seen 1 bad review on this sander.
I got it at Rockler for $1,325 and got 4 rolls of sandpaper to go with.
The Jet is $1,119 before the 15%, but the sale won’t be for 3 more months according to Rockler and Woodcraft.
The Supermax weighs almost 100 lbs more than the Jet and can sand 3” wider.
I will be finishing setting it up tomorrow and will put a review out soon. If you look at all the reviews on this sander, I really think it’s worth the extra money I paid.
Good luck. If you get the Jet I am sure you will be happy with it.

Ouch! Bad timing. The Jet sale was last weekend. I took advantage of the 15% and bought the 16-32 Plus at the local Woodcraft. The sale was listed as being two days only, but you might give your local dealer a call to see if they can find a way to make it work for you.

Have your say...
