Sorry if this has been posted recently. I got an email from Peachtree Woodworking advertising the Freud 2 1/4 router set, plunge and fixed base (FT1702VCEK) on sale for $119.99, about half the retail. I believe woodcraft has had this sale in the past. Thought I’d pass it along to anyone looking to save a few bucks. Sale ends 10/22. I know how many people out there never have enough routers :) I don’t have any experience with this specific router, but I have ordered some stuff from peachtree via amazon before without trouble.

I saw this and it looks like a pretty good buy.

I’ve had the FT700 in my router table since shortly after it came out. It’s wonderful as a table router, and is very good as a hand router. 13 amps is plenty of power for all but high volumes of raised panel doors. It has easy above table bit changes that every table router should have (but don’t). It’s so convenient, that I usually choose the FT1700 over my excellent Milwaukee 5625 for table use.

This deal is for a refurb, but is still a good buy for table use IMHO. Note that they only have 100 to sell.
