Earlier this year I started to lose my sense of taste and found food almost impossible to eat as my mouth was always so dry.It got gradually worse I went to my doctor who said it was just due to the med’s I have been taking. When I was at the dentist I spoke to Nigel who is a pal of mine and the family dentist. He made me an appointment to go to the Dental hospital as by now my mouth was drying up every five minutes it was as dry as sandpaper to my tongue.Anyway after a few scans at various hospitals I was told a few days ago I have a tumour in my face which has latched onto my salivary gland. Now I have to go to another hospital to find out if it is malignant,or not.So hopefully it will be o.k but I just need to wait. And keep myself extra busy in the shop. LOL Alistair

Keep us posted. Don’t want to loose a fine fellow. We need a Scott to keep us Yanks in line even though we don’t know how to make REAL whiskey.

Alistair,,it is important that they quickly found out what was causing the dry mouth, I hope it(the tumor) is benign.
I sincerely hope you overcome this hurdle asap.
Please keep us posted.

I shall add you as well to my petitions. Perhaps I’ll lift a dram of Jameson’s as well!

Waiting is the hard part, Alistair. Sounds like you are maintaining your sense of humor and you have a great plan (I just need to wait. And keep myself extra busy in the shop.) God bless you and your wife and family.
