I picked up 3 planes off craigslist yesterday for $20 . A craftsman 7C,Stanly no. 5 and a smaller craftsman smooth plane.
I got them just to use them but I want to make sure that they are not some expensive collector. I don’t know much about vintage planes so I thought I would ask you guys.
Are old craftsman planes worth anything?
How do I tell how old the stanley is and if it is worth anything?

I think I found the answer I was looking for by doing a little research on this site. I want to use these planes not look at them even if they were worth something(I don’t think they are). Now comes the fun part,Refurbishing!!!
