I have some hand made solid oak end tables.
Since we are moving into a new house I figure I would freshen them up.

I used Watco oil finish that was mixed with wipe on poly
Applied the coats with very mild sand paper.
I am guessing 8-10 applications. Took weeks to complete.

I might have rubbed with furniture bees wax months after they were in the house.
Not sure the wax I had was very good.

What options to clean them up?
And should I be applying a good wax to these pieces?
I also have some antiques that need to be cleaned up.

Have you tried something as simple as Liquid Gold furniture polish? Just a spot or two to see the effect.

I have not tried liquid gold.

I thought it was typical to use paste wax?

Have your say...
