Scored the Lie Nielsen Dove Tail Saw & Low Angle Block Plane for 110
Scored the Bridge City Tools for 180

I am a happy camper. The Bridge City I almost don’t want to use.

At an auction? Estate sale? It all looks brand new.

Were these on the Orange County craigslist? If it’s the same guy I bought a bridge city 12” combo square and squevel from him.

Did you buy them from some little, old widow lady?

The Lie Nielsen stuff was from an old timer that had cancer and was too weak to continue wood working, real nice guy here in social. I think the older guys are happy to at least sell it to another person who has a passion for the craft.

The bridge city stuff was from another nice guy that inherited the stuff and did not want it any longer. He posted it on CL Orange County a few days ago and I jumped on it. I told him to bring whatever he’s got. I asked what kind of price he could work out if I bought the whole lot.

Yah that’s the same guy I bought my bctw tools from. If I didn’t already have the other tools I would have made him an offer on those too. Good prices. I’ve been looking for a bctw combo square for a while. I’m not much of a collector but I think will just be a display piece and have the starrett as a user.

Great finds

Yea man the tools were made in 1992 so they have some age on them. I am torn between using them or displaying them. Sometimes CL has some good finds. I have been trying to save money for a house but when these days deals come along you have to snap on them
