I started to put together my new router table system and starting to have second thoughts if it was meant to be. My shop space is small and decided to put a Benchdog cast iron table insert on my table saw and then going to go all out and put a Woodpecker V2 lift in as well.

I ordered the Benchdog cast iron table from Rockler as I had a 15% off coupon to use. It came last week and got it home and began cleaning it up to install it and it had a couple dings in it on the accessories slot as well as the the miter slot. Neither one is going to affect the router table use, but when you spend this amount, you like it to be right. I call Rockler and talked with their custom service and sent them some pictures of the dings and broken out section on the accessories slot. I told them that I know that I can use it, but wanted to know if they would give a discount for the damage, Their first response was less than what it would cost them to send it back and then send me a new one. I told them we could send it back then and send me a new one and try again. After that they decided to send me a gift card more in mind of what I was thinking.

Today I received my Woodpecker lift and all excited all day today like a kid waiting for Christmas morning to get my new toy home to play. I get home, the box says its for a Benchdog table. As I was opening it up I see a bag of leveling screws and the plate has adjustable side plungers installed on it. Plate is not what was listed on the box. It’s 9.25” x 11.750” not 8.25” x 11.75” to call Woodpeckers tomorrow morning.

Starting to wonder if it’s ever going to happen :-(

That is a great lift and you are going to really enjoy using it. I think I would have talked to WP before getting the top from Benchdog. Let us know how it works out.

Sounds like its all going to work out.

I’d be interested to see some pics of your set up and a review of the lift.
