Hi guys, I entered two more pieces into the “Cure for the Uncommon Cabinet” contest at FineWoodWorking.com. I entered the Hope Chest I made for my daugher and the GFC I made for my son and his wife. http://www.finewoodworking.com/contest/cabinet-photo-gallery-contest/sort/vote_count The way it works is on October 29th the judges will pick the top 15 entries and showcase them on the website for everyone to vote on. Part of the criteria for which ones they will pick is how many comments were made. The problem is you have to be a member of the site to leave a comment. It doesn’t cost anything to become a member, you just have to sign up but still it takes time. If anyone wants to sign up and comment that would be great (even if you don’t comment on mine). The thing you can do without signing up is to give a project a “thumbs up” by clicking the thumbs up button. I don’t know if that infulences the judges or not because it wasn’t listed as part of the criteria but I figure it can’t hurt. When you look at the thumbnails of all the projects you can sort them by “recommended” and that is based on the number of thumbs up they have. Right now there are 55 projects entered and the one who has the most thumbs up is a microwave cabinet. It’s a nice cabinet. Anyway, sorry for the long-winded post. All I really wanted to say was if you are a member of FWW’s web site please comment on your favorite projects… that and I will be heart broken if at least one of my projects doesn’t make it into the top 15.
