I found this site a couple of years ago.
I think some of you looking for inspiration would enjoy it.
Go to: rauantiques.com.
Then go to: antiques, then: furniture. If there is a video explaining a piece be sure to watch it.
When mentioned, Be amazed at who the former owners were, but pay attention to the design and work that went into building these pieces by hand. You will be humbled, but amazed and maybe inspired.
You can look other places on the web site and be amazed at other things there, and educated as well. I would say “hold on to your wallets,” but most of us here are struggling to buy a woodworking tool and for what most of the things there cost, well, there is no worry about overspending.
I would call it the Tiffany of woodworking – no, they have Tiffany on the website, old and very expensive stuff, but not in the furniture part.
All you woodcarvers go to the cabinetry section of furniture under Antiques and be sure to watch the vido on the Robinson Carusoe Piece. That is a breathtaking piece of work.

Enjoy
