On occasion during glue ups or dry runs I will use a dollop of hot glue to keep things in place. I seldom use my glue gun and it seems there should be lots of uses. When do you guys use your glue guns?

When I am doing “double bevel inlay” (most days) I use it to hold the two pieces of 3/8” wood together as I do the cut. Cut it apart with a razor knife immediately after I finish the cut.

I don’t use mine too often, but once in a while I need temporary glue up.

I recently used my glue gun to cut (and then to hold the pieces together temporarily) “Cabriolet legs” or is it Cabriole?

I have a glue gun ‘cause the wife was upgrading and throwing the old one out. I’ve never used it but I know where is is (I think).

When I want to plane a short piece of wood I’ll hot glue a longer piece to each side and then send it through the planer.

DKV, I guess the only people that attend church are stupid ones. Must be a lot of stupid woodworkers here for here is where you sell your intolerance. I have seen you make similar comments before. YOU need to go to church and learn tolerance for others and maybe keep your religious comments to yourself.
