I have sprayed target coatings’ water based finish on a project and it has cured for over five days. I tried rubbing it with steel wool and the finish turned white. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Alan, I gather that you aren’t talking about the white powder that sanding creates. Did you use a lubricant with the steel wool? What is the relative humidity in your shop? If it is high, it might take longer for the EM6000 to cure. You might call Jeff Weiss at Target to get the best answer or post your question on Target’s forum. Sorry that I couldn’t be of any help.

I use 4/0 steel wool with paste wax.
