Guys a friend of mine just showed up with a piece of Zebra wood wanting a couple of things made up.
I have never worked with this wood before is there anything I should be aware of and how does it finish?

It is, as I am sure you are aware, very very hard :)

I’ve only made small things with it and it was quite a while ago but I remember it being a bit splintery. Finishes really well though – I used lacquer on my pieces.

It can burn like maple if you aren’t using a sharp blade.
