That depends.
If the value only rises agains the U.S. dollar it’s bad as it makes selling our goods across the border more expensive.
If the U.S. dollar is sinking agains other currencies we can still have a decent export market abroad.
It’s difficult to get a trustworthy statement from any economist right now.
Many speculators predict $2000.00 /oz gold in the next few months.
I don’t know if that have factored in the steady decline in the vaue of the U.S. dollar or not.

If that happens all currencies are in trouble.

Your right Bob it’s not usually a good thing. From a purely selfish standpoint, I think its great as I’m going Golfing in South Carolina at the end pf the month – more bang (swings) for our buck :)

It’s also good for people going south for the winter.
Also people like me here I am 2 minutes from US so I can purchase anything at a lower price I know it is not right but they all do it.
But you have to watch it some of their cheap stuff is not worth buying.

If USA Americans bought $10,000 US worth of gold… and
Canadians bought $10,000 CD worth of gold, whoever gets more gold than the other wins…
The difference in qty of gold bought is the difference in Value… :) :)

Yes?

I knew it… I should have kept all those funny pennies I get in my change every now and then.

those funny pennies….Reminds me of this guy who had a body shop in Maine US and was coming over here in Canada (we have a very large salvage place) and the owner gave him a price on parts he was going to buy and the US guy said as he was laughing (he had Canadian money) how much is it in funny money the owner double the price and said take it or leave it the guy had no more laugh on his face he paid and left.

Have your say...
