Both. They often go hand in hand, IMO.

I feel that often times I think to myself “that crazy bastard is a genius!”

Yeah, I would say a mixture of both!

Neat machine very ingenious, but looks to me like he could so with some walking under his own power.

I love it. It’s not a very practical vehicle but it sure will turn some heads. However, if you have any big dogs in your neighborhood you might think twice about riding by their house, especially if they’re not in a fence. No respectable ‘big dog’ is going to allow that ‘thing’ to walk by his house without assaulting it or the crazy driver of it.

Izzy is a very creative guy. He does not limit himself by what others say can’t be done. Not all projects have to be practical.

You’re right Julian. And I admire him for that. Some of his “stuff” is WAAAYYY out there! :-)

I remember more than once when he posted here on LJs some crazy new idea or project and I was somewhat ashamed by some of the responses he’d get. Folks telling him “You cant do that. It’s not safe” and stuff like that. ( The post about making bowls on a table saw comes to mind. )

I’m thinking that may be why he pretty much stopped posting stuff here.

Safety? let every man choose his poison. I make bowls on a TS and have for years. Long live St. Izzy the Creative (The Saint for Woodworkers who could).
