Hello to all. I am a new member and just trying to find my way around here. This site is definetly set-up alot different than any I have been on and it will take me a some time. I have gotten quite a few responses in my profile page thing but I do not know how to access it. Could use a little bit of help there.

By the way my name is John. and go by the name of jttheclockman. Some here may have seen me around on various sites. I have been woodworking of all kinds for over 30 years. I mainly fell in love with scrollsawing and have been doing that for about that long. I recently about 2 years ago found I may have another love and that is turning. I bought a Jet 1014vs lathe and started making pens, stopper, and ornaments. All small stuff and really enjoy this aspect of woodworking too.

Hope to get to meet you all on the site as I get more and more familar with it. Hopwfully I can add a tidbit or two also. Catch you all later.

Hello John and welcome to LJ. This site is real easy to use. If you go up to the top of the any page you will see your logo or picture with a little arrow on the right hand bottom side. If you click on that a drop down menu will appear so you can choose whatever personal function you want, such as; Home page, projects, messages, whatever. The heading on your personal page will also take you to these locations, while similar heading above that again will take you the same things for the whole site, such as projects, showing everyone’s projects. If you just start trying out the different functions you will soon find out how everything works. Just go to forums to ask the members for stuff you can’t figure out on your own. They are very helpful.

Have to bear with me here. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I still do not see the link to my profile page where many posts have been made to me. I get the email message but do not know how to see them when I get here. I see there was someone complaining they were getting too many of those. That is what I want to view. Thanks.
