Just wanted to have a little gloat…

My sister is in town visiting and brought me some wood :)

She went on a 6 month mission to Paraguay and brought me a wood from there called Palo Santo.
I turned a small portion of it to show the grain and boy, this stuff is fragrant. It smells like I am cutting cloves LOL. My sister says that they call it the holy wood and actually make straws out of it to drink a special tea there.

This is what I found on Wikipedia. I guess it is in the same family as Lignum Vitae

I finally turned a piece of this wood… boy this stuff is oily, and the smell is awesome.
