We had to drive to town today and happened to pass a yard sale that looked interesting at 70+mph.
I got the wife to stop and turn around so we could look.

The feller is an 85 year old general contractor and is finally giving up that part of his life.
He now runs a garden nursery a few fancy cattle and some beautiful quarter horses.

Lot’s of tools to be viewed, but I have to admit I cannot use the majority of them anymore.

I did buy an old, cast iron Bosch 90300b model .04 base mounted to a 2×10 for $5.00

I also go a couple of yard magnets for picking up nails and a handfull of 16” extended length spade drill bits from 1/4” up to 15/16”, all but one unused and still in the packages.

I figured it wasn’t a bad haul for $11 total.

Tom, I am. The plan is to clean up the router, (Almost shaper size), and although it draws a 15 amp max., Makes all my 2 HP routers look like rotozips instead.

I ran it for about 10 minutes then put my dial gauge on it and had less than .0005” run out at the collet. I didn’t check the bit that was in it, I figured it was junk after sitting for 15 years.

Ken, This thing is a brute. TO hold the base to the 2×10 there are 2-2”x3/4” bolts.

It should make a nice router/shaper for someone on entry level work.
