Topic tags/keywords: router table shopsmith small workshop tip

This is a rebuild of my router table to use on my Shopsmith 510. Now my router table was the Norm design and had done well for over 12 years but in my one car garage ( go to my home site ) space “sucks ”. So a challenge was to downsize and make this an accessory table like some Shopsmith accessory tool. Finally after many ideas the simple worked..clamp the Router table to the extension table, use support legs(not shown). Now I thought long boards should go in the long direction of the shopsmith since going 90degrees to the Tool was not easy in my shop like a rip cut. My routerbase in 1/4 inch and the green top is a sink cutout now about 24 by 22 from a home center reinforced and sealed to not warp, oak trim. The fence was also white countertop material for cheap. It is shown about 35 inches high and could be higher. The router is a Sears 2 hp with 2 collets and has worked great for over 10 years. also shown is a sears safety switch worth the money. will post pics tonight
