I’ve been reading about this saw lately. It seems like a good upgrade from what I have now. Lowes seems to be the only place to buy one. However, I can’t get it within 100 miles. I can search past that for some reason.

Anyone else run into this problem? Any advice? I might end up ordering a Grizzly G0715p just because I can get one.

3 out of the 5 stores in my area show in-stock, although they all only show 1. On Grizzly’s site, the page for the 715P says, “Not available for immediate shipment.” so… dangit.

Sure, I finally con my wife into letting me, and nothing in my price range is available. Time to look for used saws.

You mean they are out of stock? or your local Lowes does not sell it? If out of stock, Im sure they will order it for you.

Several are showing as available around my area in middle GA. Must be something weird going on in your area. As mentioned, maybe you can order one for pickup at a local store.

Another option is to check the Delta site for their 36-5xxxx series saws. They are same design with 15amp instead of 13amp motor and have more fence/rail length options. They seem to be distributed by more than just Lowes.

I thought the SOS service that Lowe’s has is just for special order if they don’t stock it in store. Did you ask if the 36-725 can be ordered? Don’t go by what you see on the web site, go to a store and ask.

I mistakenly commented that I thought the saw had been discontinued, however a Delta rep responded by saying the saw has not been discontinued, and it is available at Lowes by special order.
However cruising around Delta’s site I can find no reference to the 36-725 for sale.

Check with Lowes’s special order folks.

On the website, it’s not even giving me the option to order it. I might call them and see what I can do.

I haven’t even considered the Grizzly G0771. I hadn’t even looked at it for some reason.

Thanks everyone!

I was in a local Lowe’s last weekend and they had 2 in stock plus a floor model. And this store had none when I bought mine back in March or April. So, I’m thinking some stores are carrying without need to special order.

My local store carries the Delta, and has been for some time now. I looked at the saw and was close to purchasing on several occasions. I finally talked myself into spending a bit more and going with the G0771 and I have been nothing short of pleased.

Very glad I went that route over the Delta. Good luck with your purchase!

The G0771 is a good bang for the buck, and has a pretty good reputation so far. I view the 36-725 as similar value, but a bit lesser saw overall, for a bit less money.

I contacted Lowes today. They have a saw available 4 hours away. The will deliver for 80.00.

I’m not sure what to do.

I have the delta. I find the Grizzly very compelling – closed cabinet, better dust collection (weak with delta) and full cast iron tables.

The strong suit with the delta is that it is easy to move. Wheels included.
The fence is great on the delta – dont know about the Grizzly.
If you dont have to move it around, I would go Grizzly.

I like to work outside sometimes. I guess I could get the mobile base. But even with that, I’m not sure I would want to roll it around much. For this reason, dust collection isn’t a huge issue for me.

I saw one last night in a different Lowe’s south of Atlanta and thought to myself, “Hmm, I should buy that and make a cross country trip to deliver to Trey. Wonder if he would cover fuel costs for my motor home?” It would be much more than $80 though :(

I’ve been happy with dust collection on my 36-725 using a Harbor Freight DC and short 2-1/2 hose/adapter from 4” line. But, my only comparison is my old Craftsman 113 saw that had the open back and a table saw DC plate thing in the bottom.

I don’t like the stamped steel extensions and am planning to replace with the old cast iron “web” ones from old saw.
