Topic tags/keywords: gig internship apprenticeship new york brooklyn

Seems worth a shot – I’ve just started woodworking. ie I’m in the process of really hacked together my first coffee table out of a reclaimed bowling alley lane using very few power tools (a cordless drill that is killing me, an orbital cordless sander, and a couple of hours of a belt sander from Home Depot), with no garage or wood working facilities or anything. Given the constraints, and that I’ve never made anything out of wood, I think I’ve picked up a lot! And I’ve loved doing it!

I’m considering does anyone need some help in NYC, specifically Brooklyn, who does woodworking professionally? I have a full-time job so this would be more of an occasional weekend or evening volunteer/internship thing so I can learn from someone who knows what they’re doing.
