I think they missed a nought off the price i payed £89.99 for the baby work sharp so $19.99 is way to low the 3000 in the UK is £189+

Did I luck out. I was looking at those yesterday on sears because they had them on sale for $189.00 with a free leather wheel. But I didn’t buy it. So when I saw this post I went to the web site. Today and the one I had put in my cart was still in there. The warehouse didn’t have any, but my local store did. So I got the one at my local store for $19.99. Cant beat that. No free leather wheel though. That is ok I can live with out that for now. That is a super deal. I actually bought 2 of them for 19.99 got the leather wheel for free on the 2nd one.

just my thoughts

Well, according to one of our local stores, I just bought one for in store pickup. Because of being craftsman club member it was $17.99 +tax for total $19.07. Waiting for confirmation email to pick it up. Found another one at a different store and bought it too. We’ll see if they actually have them and if they find thier mistake.

I tried to order off their website and it wouldn’t go through. Then I called customer service and they said it must be a typo but they’d check their “resources” and THAT’S THE RIGHT PRICE ! ! !

Unfortunately, the system at sears would not allow them to order it any better than their web page. So, since stores are closed here I’ll have to try tomorrow. It says the deal is good until 10/10.

BTW, Robert. I got mine at Southland Mall

Thanks Gene,

I don’t think all the internet orders are being canceled. Some of the stores are just jadded because they new sears messed up. I found another store not to far away with 4 in stock but still cannot order, it doesn’t look like the price has been fixed though. Hopefully I will have the other 1 soon. I cant figure out how to post picture and I dont use shutter fly or any of those sites so you will just have to believe me.

I read at some other sites they are cancelling online orders and refunding the price. I checked this morning and mine is still confirmed. I can’t pick it up till 10am my time so I hope it is still ready.

The price on their website today 10/5 is $109.99
Looks like they dropped the second digit in that price.

Sorry interpim, but my second one is going to my brother-in-law. Try a different zip code that isn’t that far of a drive. That’s what I did. The Sears in my little town (Pop 55,000) doesn’t carry these, nor does any of the small Sears in the surrounding towns.

I only ordered for store pickup last night at 5:30pm est. Just picked it up at the store a lunch today. Did not wait for the email confirmation. My store pickup area has a machine that you can scan the confirmation or slide in your credit card you used to pay for the item. 3 minutes later they walked out with the one I ordered. Yep, out the door for 17.99 plus 1.08tax. I did go to the tool area and look for another one. They only have the demo model left, but they still had the incorrect tag up.

So, if you do find one in the store…. make sure you grab the tag when you walk to the counter. Store policy is to honor the lowest marked price. Even if it is their mistake!

I did a review of this device a few months ago. Lucky bums. What a deal. You’re gonna love it. In fact the razor sharp edge on your chisels will seem even sharper at 19.95.

Since you saved a bunch I’d go back to Sears and pick up the wide blade sharpener accessory. It does your plane blades. 69.95.

I sold tools at Sears part time back in the 70’s, when I was in college. Accidents would happen and a crazy price would be printed in the newspaper every now and then, but we were never actually stupid enough to sell things at the ridiculous price.

My sources at the Sears Tower tell me that anyone who purchased one of these for $19.99 is going to get a visit from a member of the Chicago branch of the Gambino family. Your choice will be to either pony up the other $100, or see how well you can do woodworking with 2 broken kneecaps.

Sears honors price tag per store policy! I picked up a ws3000 today for $18.99!!! ( that’s the price on the product + 5%). The sales tag at the store stated ”$19.99- $180.00 off reg. price” The blue card at the cash register states the store policy on the price as marked. It states that they will honor the price + 5 % on merchandise over $100.00. The store manager had no problem with honoring there own written policy. Kudos to Sears in Altamonte and to the assistant manager Steve and the store manager Marrian.
