I have some friends starting a resort in Belize and I’m hoping someone can help identify this wood from a tree on their property. Any suggestions?

I know bloodwood is named for its blood-colored sap when cut, but it’s an African species I believe. Maybe this is similar?

I don’t know what that wood is but the bloodwood I have used is a red color all the way through the wood not just under the bark.

Find out what the locals call it first, then you may be able to look up the species.
