Powermatic 1120003 Model PM15 15-Inch 5-Horsepower Planer/Molder, 230-Volt 1-Phase

Hi,

I just won the PM-15 in an auction and wondered if any of you had experience with disassembling it.

I would like to throw it in my minivan and probably need to disassemble the base stand to do that. Is that the way to go?

Thanks folks!

Go here and you can see how it is put together. Download the manual.

I had the PM15 in my shop for review and have my doubts about taking much of it apart with any kind of ease, especially enough to get in a minivan. It comes bult onto the base cabinet and thinking back I am not sure there is much to separate there to reduce the size/weight by much. I do know that a small trailer would be way eaiser if that is a possibility for you.

Hi,
2nd question:

Does anyone that currently uses a Powermatic 1120003 Model PM15 15-Inch 5-Horsepower Planer/Molder, 230-Volt advise on their experience with the machine?

Thanks!
