I pulled the trigger on ordering my new table saw today. I should have in a week or 10 days. I have spent way too much time arriving at the decision to buy this saw. There was an unexpected 15% additional discount that helped.

If you hadn’t pulled the trigger you could have bit the bullet…

Do you know if the Jet comes with a power cord. I know I will have to add the connector but just not sure about power cord.

I answered in your other thread, yes, mine came with the power cord and I just had to add the appropriate plug.

I bought my Xacta Saw about 15 years ago.
I’ve never had a single issue and love the saw.

Have fun!

Earl, I found your response after I had sent this. Thanks.

I got word today that my saw will arrive at Woodcraft tomorrow. Unfortunately I blew my knew out today and can’t walk on it. What great timing, right? I am glad they aren’t delivering to my home or I am afraid it would be sitting at the curb. At least it will be at Woodcraft until I can get there.

Sorry to hear about your knee. I know what you mean about timing, I blew mine out 2 years ago, in the middle of putting epoxy coatings on my garage floor. Never have fully recovered from it, even after having surgery.

Are you gonna get that knee looked at?
If I may, I want you to know you may recover but if there’s internal damage to the ACL or meniscus you can expect more problems. All it takes is one misstep or a twist.

Hope its just something minor and you can get back to work quickly.

Thanks to all for your concerns. I have an appointment to see my doctor on Monday, he is out of town this week. I had planned if it was still as bad today as it was yesterday to go to the emergency room. I am grateful that it is better, not near normal but better. I was finally able to go to sleep without the constant ache and pain. Initially there was no position I could get to that would help it to stop hurting. Today I am able to limp if I walk on the ball of my foot. I am using crutches that my wife had when she had knee problems so I am pleased it’s better but I have a ways to go before I can walk normal again. It’s frustrating to get old :-).

I went to the doctor today, he Xrayed my knee and the good news is it wasn’t torn and doesn’t look as if I need surgery. A cortisone shot to the knee (ouch) and heavy duty knee brace and therapy, hopefully it will do the trick.

Thanks for all those who asked about it. By the way, my new Table saw is still at the store, looks like my son in laws will be bringing it home for me.

Happy to hear it’s not really bad. I know you are chomping at the bit to get your hands on your new saw.
