Just returned from the local farm store, and they have a Iron Horse 20 galllon air compressor for $300

The Puma is $379 and is also 20 gallon.

They are both single stage belt driven oiled compressors with around 5.5 cfm at 90psi.

I was gonna get a Ingersoll Rand garage mate compressor on sale for $449 but I saw these and started wondering if they were decent compressors I would try them out. If anybody has tried either of these brands let me know. I would appreciate the input. Haven’t found any reviews anywhere else.

Thanks a bunch lumberjocks

I do not want to cast a dark cloud on the company, as I have only owned one of their products, but we purchased a Puma a couple of years ago….and it was very unimpressive and prone to failure.

They may have improved their line as of late, but my initial experience was poor.

Anyone have a more recent experience?

Hope this helps

I’m a little leary of both of these brands, but they have one year warranties and the parts seem easy enough to get. Both seem like they are built fairly well, cast iron cylinders at least.

I think I drank a bottle of Iron Horse bourbon once. The next morning I felt like I’d been stampeded. :-)
