Is it possible to modify the motor position , show as the attached picture. Thanks for any ideal or skill.

I have a very small shop in my base room . It is easy to buy a Ridgid ts3560 (different Brand) , but the >40” depth is too much for the small shop . The motor is outside the table and there are some space under the iron table .

I’d say do off the top. I’m sure it’s possible with a lot of modification.

I’d say save your pennies for a delta 36-725.

I have this saw and it is an excellent contractors saw (especially value for $). I looked at mine and I can see no reason why it wouldn’t theoretically be possible but you would have to do all kinds of modification. In particular the dust shroud that covers the blade assembly from underneath. My impression is way more work than reward. Some LJ’s really like the Bosch table saw which is highly portable and does not have the same footprint issues. I have no experience with it. I am sure there are others and I’d probably go that way.

Possible – yes. Feasible – no. It’d make more sense to buy a hybrid saw that’s designed to have the motor housed inside.

Thanks for all the reply .
I have Bosch 1031 about 2 years , and DIY a base for it . It is a good saw , but too loudly .
So I want to buy a new one . I find the factory, who make Ridgid TS3650 , is beside me.
I can easy to buy it , but the footprint is big …....

Now I find some mode @ebay , and the store can ship to Taiwan , so I will buy one of them.

Have your say...
