Topic tags/keywords: planing jointer mill work service

I got a littlle ambitious and bought lumber for a bookcase project thinking I could run it thru my jointer and planer.. The lumber is straight ripped one side and my jointer will not handle a 2” x 8” X 9’ board. Does anyone know of a company in the Atlanta area (preferably the north side) that will finish these boards for me?

Thanks for any advice.

If you can’t find a source locally you can still do it if (with some care) if you temporarily remove the blade guard.

Make a sled and use your planer as a joiner.

Few other ways also.
