David,

This looks like something you’ve been using in the shop for a while.
I guess sometimes we take the simplest shop ideas for granted.
I’m glad you shared this one, I always measure, mark, measure, mark, then try to find the straight edge.
This is on my list.

Grizz- the red colored numbers would match your dress. You’re so savy. LOL

I too have a metal version of this….but never thought of making a wood one….which I will now thanks to you….I always seem to misplace this template when I need it…will be nice to have a couple around for those “senior moments”....Thanks again.

Purrty niffty, patron. Makes sence to me. Just got a mail that you took a look at my shop pixs. I really don’t do woodworking—I just built the shop to look good and clean. lol lol lol. Wish I knew how, though.

Self explanatory to me means…....I may get it…... sometime. After looking at this, I was at first perplexed, being the woodworking klutz that I am, so I applied the coffee and Twinkie factor to it. Great idea….sure would help me transfer my measured numbers to the material (which I usually get wrong). So making one of these dodads will be a challenge for me.

Where did you buy yours? (just kidding).

Keep the ideas coming!!

A woodworker’s stairway to heaven? A glue spreader? A new kind of gear? A router depth gauge? A template? Modern art? Who said woodworking wasn’t rocket science?
