UPDATE: I’m in Cincinnati. This is an Industrial grade sander with an integral stand. Retails for $1800 and usually sells new for $1500. It’s a 6” by 48” belt. PM me your email address if you want me to send a picture.

I’m looking to sell my belt sander locally. It’s in excellent condition with minimal use. Any ideas or thoughts on a reasonable price?

-- John

Well, pictures would help. Model? Manufacturer? Age? Use? Is there a stand? Wheels? Have any belts to go with it? Etc.

Depending on how old it is, and if you have not used it much you can go anywhere from 60-80% of the new price.

Start on the higher side and see if you get any offers. Some people make fun of the prices people ask on craigslist and yes, some are crazy but, you can’t get a good price if you don’t ask for it.

Also, depends on your location. If you give a general location, you might get an LJ near you interested as well.
